Assigning & Reassigning Patients
Assigning patients to the appropriate team member helps ensure continuity of care, clear ownership, and timely follow-up. In ITO Health, patients can be assigned (or reassigned) to users in your organization, using two supported ways so far.
Assigning a patient from patient profile
This method is useful when you are already reviewing or editing an individual patient’s information.
- Navigate to the Patients section
- Select My Patients or All Assigned Patients tab
- Click on the patient’s name to open their profile
- Select Edit next to the patient’s name (See: Viewing & Editing Patient)
- In the General info section, locate the Assigned user dropdown. From there, you can pick an existing user in your organization's database, or add a new user.
- Save your changes

Assigning patients from Patients list
This method only works when you are on the Unassigned Patients tab.
- Navigate to the Patients section
- Select the Unassigned Patients tab (see: Navigating the Patients page)
- Locate the patient you want to assign
- In the Assigned user column, select Assign
- Choose a user from your organization
